The Quilters' Quest Shop Hop Goes Green! …Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, and Purple! Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday May 13, 14, 15, & 16, 2010.

As you travel to each of the quilt shops during this adventure you will have your guide stamped, enter each quilt shop’s daily prize drawings, and receive a step for making a mystery quilt. Shop Hop finishers receive the last step to complete the quilt.

When you have visited all ten shops you will receive a prize and be eligible to win one of three awesome gift certificate packages.

Quilt Contest!

Are you ready for some fun and excitement in April? If so, we have something that will be just the prescription – our Trip For 2 To Boston Marathon Contest! Here’s how it will work:

1 – Find a quilting buddy who’s also ready for some fun and excitement.

2 – Come to The Joyful Quilter on Wednesday, April 7 to purchase one of 10 “Trip For 2 To Boston” kits (see description below). One $80.00 kit includes a pattern with 2 sets of instructions and enough fabric to make 2 lap quilts (42″ x 54″). We want to see the finished quilt tops back at The Joyful Quilter ASAP, and we’ll be giving prizes to the quilting pairs that get their tops back first, second and third.

3 – Get to work! This pattern is easiest when you work together to get it done, so that’s where the “Marathon” comes in. Get your coffee and chocolate lined up before you start!

4 – Bring your finished quilt tops back to The Joyful Quilter. The First Place team will receive backing, batting and FREE QUILTING for both quilts – that’s a $250 value! The Second Place team will receive backing and batting for both quilts – a $100 value. The Third Place team will receive backing for both quilts – a $60 value.

The kit contains 15 fat quarters in graduated colors, which makes the interiors of both quilts. It also includes the borders and bindings for both quilts. And look at the beautiful fabrics you’ll be working with:
